Abel’s Bagels Signs Its First Franchise as Las Vegas Expansion Begins
What began as one neighborhood bagel shop in Southwest Las Vegas is officially entering its next chapter.
On July 21, 2026, Abel’s Bagels signed its first franchise agreement.
The new location is planned for the Summerlin area near Sahara Avenue and Fort Apache Road, bringing Abel’s hand-rolled, kettle-boiled bagels and warm neighborhood hospitality to another part of the Las Vegas Valley.
For our team, this milestone represents far more than adding another location.
It is the first major step in growing Abel’s Bagels carefully, intentionally, and without losing what made the original shop special.
From One Las Vegas Shop to a Growing Franchise
Abel’s Bagels opened its original location in Southwest Las Vegas in 2022 with a simple but demanding mission: make traditional New York-style bagels the right way and treat every guest like they matter.
That means starting early, rolling bagels by hand, allowing the dough time to develop, boiling each bagel and baking throughout the day.
It also means building a culture around hospitality, cleanliness, consistency, hard work and genuine care.
As the original location developed a loyal following, we began receiving increasing interest from people who wanted to bring Abel’s Bagels to their own communities.
We did not want to expand simply because people were asking.
Before offering franchises, we wanted to strengthen the systems behind the brand, improve training, document our standards and make sure future franchise partners would have a foundation they could build upon.
The signing of our first franchise agreement is an important confirmation that the next stage has begun.
The First Franchise Is Planned for Summerlin
The first franchised Abel’s Bagels location is planned near Sahara Avenue and Fort Apache Road.
This area provides access to a strong mix of established neighborhoods, families, professionals, schools, businesses and growing residential communities.
It also allows Abel’s Bagels to enter a new portion of the Las Vegas market while remaining close enough to our original location for hands-on support, training and brand oversight.
Site development, permitting, construction and opening timelines will follow as the project advances.
Our goal is not simply to open another store. Our goal is to open it correctly.
A Second Las Vegas Franchise Is Advancing
A second franchise candidate is currently scheduled to sign on July 31, 2026.
The proposed territory is expected to include either North Las Vegas near the 215 Beltway or the Northwest Las Vegas area, depending on final site and territory decisions.
This would begin creating a thoughtful development map across the Las Vegas Valley:
Southwest Las Vegas, home of the original Abel’s Bagels
Summerlin near Sahara and Fort Apache
A proposed North or Northwest Las Vegas territory
Additional future opportunities throughout the valley
These locations are intended to serve distinct communities while protecting the strength and long-term viability of each franchise territory.
Additional Las Vegas Territories Remain Available
Several highly attractive Las Vegas areas remain open for qualified franchise candidates.
Henderson
Henderson remains one of the strongest available development opportunities.
The area offers substantial residential growth, established family communities, business activity and strong demand for breakfast, lunch and catering concepts.
For the right operator, Henderson could become an important Abel’s Bagels market.
Spring Valley
Spring Valley offers dense residential neighborhoods, strong traffic patterns and close proximity to both the Strip corridor and major employment centers.
It may provide opportunities for breakfast, lunch, delivery and catering demand from both residents and nearby businesses.
Enterprise and Southern Highlands
The Enterprise and Southern Highlands areas continue to experience growth and development.
These communities may offer an attractive combination of families, professionals, new housing and limited access to authentic New York-style bagel concepts.
North and Northwest Las Vegas
Select North and Northwest Las Vegas opportunities may remain available depending on the final territory selected for the second franchise.
As agreements are completed and territories are assigned, the number of available development areas will naturally become more limited.
Tacoma Represents a Potential Future Market
Abel’s Bagels also has a prospective franchise candidate interested in the Tacoma, Washington market.
That opportunity remains subject to the completion and effectiveness of our Washington franchise registration.
Abel’s Bagels is not currently offering or selling franchises in Washington. Any future Washington franchise activity will remain subject to applicable registration requirements and final approval.
The interest in Tacoma is encouraging because it demonstrates that the appeal of Abel’s Bagels may extend beyond our home market.
At the same time, we are committed to following the proper process and growing responsibly.

We believe growth should follow strong operations, training and standards.
Our goal is not to open the greatest number of locations as quickly as possible. Our goal is to develop successful operators who can protect the Abel’s experience in their own communities.
